National PTA awarded Roach Middle School PTA with their School of Excellence Award in August 2021. This distinct title comes after investing two years in a stringent program. As part of the application process, families are surveyed and results are used to close educational gaps and improve the partnership between schools and families.
Roach Middle School is proud to be a recipient of the award, earned under the leadership of president Andrea McKoy and a talented board of officers as well as Roach Middle School principal Mrs. Natasha McDonald who all served during an unpredictable climate caused by Covid. On earning this important recognition, McKoy remarked, “Although we may not do everything perfectly, we make sure to do it in excellence! Thank you to the Roach Middle School administration, teachers, and parents for your continued support of the Roach PTA. It's because of your participation and partnership these past two unprecedented years that we were able to obtain such a prestigious award.” The National School of Excellence Award distinguishes Roach Middle School and shows the value and harmony that can be achieved when working with your campus and community.
